Media Exposure• Nearly every game is televised, as the 303 of UF's last 312 games have been on television, including all 34 in 2009-10. UF made a school record 18 national television appearances a year ago, and 12 of its 16 league games were on national TV. • UF has made 141 appearances on national television during the last 11 seasons and has appeared on national or regional television 613 times over the last 27 seasons. • More than 1,600 media credentials were issued at the 2006 and 2007 Final Fours and close to 20 million viewers nationwide tuned in to watch Florida defeat Ohio State in the National Championship game. • Seven of the top 10 newspapers in the Southeast are located in the state of Florida and seven of the top 100 television markets in the nation are located in Florida. • Over the last 23 seasons, UF has made 194 national TV appearances, including showings on all three major networks - CBS, NBC, ABC - along with ESPN • A recent study by Publicity Watch magazine ranked Florida among the top three schools in the nation for most media exposure • The Southeastern Conference signed the longest and most lucrative television contracts of any conference in the nation beginning last year, securing 15-year deals with CBS and ESPN. Every conference SEC game will air on CBS or one of the ESPN networks. ESPN will have three national windows per week during conference play with games on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. • Florida has a contract with the Sun Sports and its sister network, FSN Florida, the cable television homes for the Florida Gators. Sun Sports is the state's leading regional sports and public affairs network reaching 6.3 million homes, while FSN Florida reached 5.2 million homes. Sun Sports holds programming rights to eight pro teams including the Orlando Magic, Tampa Bay Lightning, Miami Heat plus five other state Universities. • The Gator Basketball Radio Network is home to the largest hoops network in the Sunshine State; with nearly 40 stations broadcasting University of Florida basketball from Pensacola in the Panhandle to Key West, it is the largest hoops network in the Sunshine State. With complete coverage of all regular and post season games plus the weekly call in show "Gator Hotline with "Billy Donovan", the Gator Basketball Network provides extensive radio coverage that blankets Florida during the round ball season. Game day coverage on the Gator Basketball Network begins with the 35 minute pre-game show and concludes with a post-game show, both feature the comments of Billy Donovan. • All Gator radio broadcasts can be heard on the World Wide Web via Broadcast.com and the UAA’s web site, Gatorzone.com.
